The Mary Jo Jacobs, MD Memorial Girl Scout Adventure Fund
In 2014, Mary Jo Jacob’s four children established this fund in her memory. “Dr. Mary Jo Jacobs was the epitome of one that not only spoke the Girl Scout Law, but lived it from an early age.” She was a real “go-getter” and dedicated her life to family, friends, patients, and her chosen profession of medicine. This fund will grant a minimum of one scholarship each year to a Girl Scout in Garfield and/or Eagle counties, where Dr. Jacobs served the communities in so many ways. The family hopes that many girls will have the same positive experience, education, and adventure that their mom had through her involvement in Girl Scouting and her opportunity to attend Girl Scout Camp.
